Playdough

It is so stinkin' hot right now! I have been trying to do other activities that don't require us to go outside...so we made playdough...well I mostly made it... because you have to make it on the stove, but Kaylee did help measure out the dry ingredients :) This recipe turned out really well. Here is the recipe, just in case you are stuck inside too:

1 cup flour
1 cup water
1 tablespoon oil
1 tablespoon powdered alum
1/2 cup salt
2 tablespoons vanilla
food coloring

Mix all dry ingredients. Add oil and water. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until reaching the consistency of mashed potatoes. Remove from heat and add vanilla and food coloring. Divide into balls and work in color by kneading the playdough.

I divided the play dough and kneaded in blue and purple food coloring:

Kaylee informed me that this is a "lolly pop" she made with playdough and a spatula:

Can't resist a black and white photo:
My little man was getting into dog food and blocks...of course...I have to always keep my eye on this one :)

Farmers Market

Today I went to the Farmer's Market in Temecula. It was HOT....as it always is in July....but I really enjoyed it. I found lots of fresh produce and some vendors even had out samples so you could taste before you buy :) Lots of Local Organic produce and the people were friendly. The Farmer's market is on Wednesday at the Promenade Mall from 9 a.m.-1:00p.m. or in Old Town Temecula 8:00 a.m.- 12:30 p.m.

Here's some pics of a few things I bought:

Normally I am not a tomato fan (at least not raw tomatoes) but these are actually really good

I can't remember what kind of onion these are, but they smell good :)
Got to love Honey Bear....I decided to go with Avocado Blossoms honey it taste sooooo good! It has a deep rich flavor...I think this might be my new favorite!

New Toy

Yesterday my neighbor was nice enough to give us a slide set. Last night my husband and I set it up while the kiddos were "sleeping". I say "sleeping" because Kaylee was looking out her window wondering what we were doing...it was pretty cute!

This morning Kaylee was so excited to see a slide set in the backyard...she started playing right away. I am so excited...it's perfect for Kaylee and Corban and it gave me time to practice taking pics with my camera :) Here they are:
