Lazy Evening

Corban was down for the night at 6:30 p.m. (he is such a crank ball....so we have to put him down early) and we decided to hang out in the backyard...I decided this would be a great time to practice taking pics with my new lens...have I mentioned how much I LOVE my lens? :)
Kaylee loves sidewalk chalk...she even was using it on the dogs (missed that shot) as you can see she can make great circles :)


Yes I know...our backyard is dead... our focus has been on the inside of the house (we just moved in, in May)...we are planning on working on it after the crazy summer heat out here...Kaylee looks like she is contemplating something...my little pony...Dora.....sidewalk chalk or not?

I love how the lens focuses on the subject and blurs out the background...my husband is not one for pictures but I got him in there...well sort of... :)My favorite picture! I love how the light warms her face. I just smile when I look at this picture :)
I have been working on my photo editing skills...I'm so excited! I used "actions" on these and they turned out great. I love how you can make the picture "pop" with a little work. Here is the "before" picture without the actions:

Felt Toys

I am so excited...I finished making some felt toys for my Kaylee! They are cake pans and cakes....she loves them! They go perfect with her kitchen and now she is always baking up a storm (pretend of course). It was not too hard, just time consuming...but it was worth seeing the excitement on her face.
